A happy outcome... we will remain as one. In a new location? With fewer congregants? With many choices to be made? Yes, yes, and yes . Now to celebrate.
Chocolate Mandel Brote yum!
Cream together 1/4 pound margarine with 2 cups of sugar. Add 5 eggs one at a
time beating thorougly after each one. Fold in 2 3/4 cup of Matzo Meal and 3/4 cup of potato starch. Again, mix thorougly. This is the time you can add any of your personal favorites, walnuts, raisin's, cherries etc. Form into 2 loaves about
two inches wide. Sprinkle with mixt;ure of cinnamon and sugar.
Bake on greased sheet pan (parchment paper better) at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes. Cool slightly and slice. My family likes really crisp mondel brote so I
slice the loaves and put the pices on their side and bake in the oven for 5 or 6 more minutes., Enjoy this easy recipe year long. With a much lighter heart I wish you all inner peace.
